Revit
Revit 2026.5 is incompatible with older versions of MagiCAD
Problem: After installing Revit 2026.5 update, MagiCAD versions prior to 2027 MR are incompatible and do not work. This is due to the .NET10 upgrade on Revit as Microsoft will end support for .NET 8 on November 2026.
Note! Revit updates cannot be reverted after installation.

Dynamo stops working after MagiCAD 2027 installation
Problem: After installing MagiCAD 2027, Dynamo fails to load packages and Dynamo stop working. The issue is caused by a version conflict with RestSharp.dll distributed with MagiCAD Supports & Hangers.
Version: MagiCAD for Revit 2027 and 2027.1
Workaround:
Remove or rename the following file:
C:\Program Files\MagiCAD Group\MagiCAD Supports & Hangers\R2027\RestSharp.dll (where R2027 is the Revit version). After the file has been removed, restart Revit and Dynamo should work normally.
Solution: Will be fixed in 2027 UR1 version
Critical issue in the sprinkler calculation that may affect calculation results in certain situations
Problem: Issue occurs when the last sprinkler inside the sprinkler design area (sprinkler 12) is one of the weakest sprinkler and is connected with a tee or a tap using the same pipe size as the sprinkler (size 25), while there are additional sprinklers in the branch outside the design area and the option “ignore branches shorter than” is enabled. In these cases, the pipe connecting node 10 to sprinkler 12 may sometimes be ignored and excluded from the calculation, resulting in a lower pressure demand than the system actually requires.

Version: MagiCAD for Revit 2023 and newer
Workaround:
- Re-calculate the system, Issue can be identified in the calculation by checking the system has correct Leqv for all branches.
- Disable the “ignore branches shorter than” setting so that the connection pipe between the sprinkler and the fitting is included in the calculation.
- Use a different pipe size for the pipe leading to the tee that connects sprinkler 12 than the tee has.

Solution: Fixed in MagiCAD for Revit 2027, Update 1

Problems with graphics acceleration in AutoCAD 2027
Problem: When hardware acceleration with its “Fast shaded mode” is on in AutoCAD 2027, crashes may occur e.g. when hovering over MagiCAD objects. At the time of the MagiCAD 2027 release there is/was no fix in sight for the problem.
Version: MagiCAD for AutoCAD 2027 + MagiCAD 2027
Solution: Waiting for a fix in AutoCAD 2027
Workaround:This can be avoided by turning either the whole hardware acceleration or just its “Fast shaded mode” off from the Graphics Performance options of AutoCAD. Another workaround, which may work in some machines, is to set the GFXDX12 variable to 0 which will then make AutoCAD use the older directX 11 instead of the newer directX 12. This has helped before in older AutoCAD versions as well when facing similar symptoms.

Product change limitations in Electrical
Problem: Due to technical difficulties, changing the product sizes of busbars, lighting tracks, LED-stripes and cable trays via Change Properties is limited to the current drawing only. In addition, vertical T-branches, circuit units and supply units of busbar trunking systems cannot change their size. These must be redrawn when needed.

Solution: Will be fixed to next version
Workaround: Changes only to current drawing
Heat loss calculations in MagiCAD Room
Problem: Errors have been identified in heat loss calculations in some projects using MagiCAD 2026 UR-2. For this reason, we recommend carefully reviewing heat loss calculation results when working with MagiCAD 2026 UR-2.
Issues have been observed in the generation of roof and floor structures. As a result, a space may incorrectly be assigned an external roof structure when it should be an intermediate structure, for example. This leads to incorrect heat loss calculation results.
The issues do not occur in every project, but as some cases have been reported, we would like to inform users and encourage them to carefully verify their calculation results.
Version: MagiCAD for CAD 2026 UR2
Solution: The roof and floor structure issues are fixed in the MagiCAD 2027 version.
